About us

The Regional Group Committee was formed in November 2018 following a workshop organised in Brighton.

The current committee is:

Regional Group Coordinator – Ines Santos

Secretary – Helen Lea

Treasurer – Kath Keep

Supervisors’ (Consultants) Coordinator- Clare James

Committee members – Juliet Couche, Kelly Cahill, Ruth Henderson.

We are a ‘not for profit’ organisation.   After administrative and workshop costs have been met, the proceeds from the events we organise go to Trauma Aid UK -  https://www.traumaaiduk.org

Trauma Aid UK is a charity supporting traumatized communities globally.  They respond to psychological trauma and distress by providing training in EMDR and traumatology to qualified mental health workers in the countries affected. They then provide on-going support through supervision of their work and continuing professional development.

So far we have donated £1,000 to Trauma Aid UK.

EMDR is an acronym for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. EMDR is a type of psychotherapy used to treat a variety of psychological difficulties.
